My Prayer for Day 10 of 40
Most Gracious Heavenly Father,
Thank You for another great week. Of course, it wasn’t perfect, but i’m choosing to focus on the blessings. And, there are so many things we can focus on as positive and there are plenty of things we can focus on as negative. I think our perception of reality has a huge factor on what and how we focus. We can keep our minds and thoughts on positive things or negative things. It’s a choice!! In this election the candidates are so worried about bashing each other and focusing on the others flaws that they really don’t seem to know what they themselves are good at. It seems like we might need to re-evaluate ourselves as well. We are quick to point out each other’s flaws, but just stay in denial or ignorance of our own. If we take a good look at ourselves, we will see that the things we are quick to judge others on are usually the things we struggle with ourselves. If we look at our government then we will see the same pattern. They usually try to bash the other for some of the same things they really don’t know where they stand themselves. My prayer is that we all take self-evaluations of ourselves and pray for the Holy Spirit to help us get rid of our flaws. We all have them and not one of us will be perfect until the day we step into heaven and thats only because of what Christ did to pay the price for our imperfections. So, I pray we check ourselves and as we come closer to the election we start “being the change” we all want to see in our country and in this world. It starts with us, and, Lord, I pray that each and everyone of us hear Your call and Your knock at our doors and we all decide to open that door and let You in. We are all important and all have our part in making this country the best it can be. It starts with us!! Thank You for loving and caring for us so much that You are willing to work on us as individuals and have a purpose for each and everyone of us to bring glory to Your kingdom. Let Your kingdom arise!! Let Your church unite! Let Your glory fall! And let Your will be done!! In Jesus name,
