My Prayer For Day 13 of 40
Most Gracious Heavenly Father,
my heart is filled with praise! You are an amazing God and words can’t describe Your glory. It is unfathomable the love You show for us not only in history, but to this day. We are a blessed people and should give You praise much more than we do. Lord, my heart knows that You love me and were willing to come down and take on flesh like a man and live as a man and suffer the hardships of life like a man and even suffer death like a man, but still remain flawless! So many times You could have called on the powers of Heaven to change the situations You faced, but You chose to push through like we have to just so You could know what we go through personally here on earth. Lord, I couldn’t have done the same. My flesh would have raised up and gotten the best of me just like it does now sometimes, just like all of ours does sometimes. We have flaws. We aren’t perfect. We make bad decisions that take us places we never would have wanted to go. But, the cool thing is that You don’t change. No matter what we do wrong, Your love for us never changes. We can never get too bad that it would make You give up on us, and that’s just more evidence of how much You truly love us. Thank You so much for never giving up on me. The things I’ve done and the choices I’ve made have made me almost give up on myself. Lord, the same goes for our country. We’ve made a lot of good choices, but it seems like now that we are making so many bad ones that we are pretty much giving up on what we were created to be and that is a nation that truly allows justice to reign and peace be with its people. We have made a country that anyone can come to and make something great of themselves. Just like I knew what I was created to be, but got so blinded by the mess I created that I almost forgot and gave up on who I was; our country is going through the same thing right now. Lord, Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on us no matter how far or fast we try to run from You. Right now our country is running from You so hard that we don’t even know where we are going. Lord, I ask that You open the heavens wide and pour Your Spirit out on us again. Reign over our country again. I know it’s a choice we have to make, but I’m praying for Divine intervention, and I believe the closer we get to the election the more people that will be intervening for our country in prayer. I’m asking that You hear our prayer and let Your glory shine on this great country that You created again. We need You, Lord. We need Your guidance again. We need Your Spirit to shine again on Your country. We love You!! In Jesus’ name I pray,
