My prayer for Day 2 of 40

Most Gracious Heavenly Father,

 I come to you with a heart of guilt. Lord, we, as Americans, take for granted how much

You have truly blessed us with. We have been given so much, but act like we have so little.

We are a blessed nation and only have You to thank. We are nothing without You.

Help see realize that all gifts come from You and that we need Your guidance for what has been already

given to us.  Your Word says…”for who much is given, much is expected”. Lord, we need You!

We have lost our focus! We have reasoned ourselves into a dark corner that only Your light  can bring us out

of.  Help us realize how blessed we are and how much we needed You! We do need You Lord. Our politicians

need Your help. They need Your guidance in bringing our country back to its roots! People say, “our country

has changed and we can’t expect the old to work anymore”. There might be some truth to that, but I

do think that we have changed and forgotten who we are and what we stand for in order to please the world.

We are commanded to love people, but that doesn’t mean to change our Godly morals and ethics to please everyone.

We can love by being an example! Help us be that example again, not only to our own people, but to the rest

of the world. Thank You for Your love and mercy! Thank You for Your grace! We don’t want to take anything

for  granted anymore. With Your help, we can be everything You created us to be.
