My prayer for Day 4 of 40

Most Gracious Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this day. Thank You for a new week. God, as the day is closing and our fresh start to a week is coming to a close,

help our minds focus on a refreshing start to a new week as well. We get so caught up in the distractions of the world that we easily lose

our focus on You. Lord, You make all things new everyday. As the sun rises to a new day tomorrow, help our minds stay focused

on You and Your Spirit. Lord, the enemy puts so many obsticles in our lives in order to distract us and its up to us to recognioze those

distractions and regain our focus on You. Thank You for Your Word and its way of lining our spirits back to Yours. We can’t explain how it works,

but we know it does every time we delve in to it. Help remind us that ALL answers to life’s problems and even blessings are found in Your Word.

With that said, help us as individuals, as churches, as communities, as cities, as states, and as a country to sense the urgency to go to Your Word

for instruction as we come closer to this election and as we make major decisions in the direction our country is to go next. We love You and thank

You for Your Truth found in Your Word. And we thank You for Your love and mercy on us. Lead us! Guide us again as our hearts turn back to

You, as individuals and as a country. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray,
