My Prayer for Day 7 of 40
Most Gracious Heavenly Father,
Thank You for today! Thank You so much for Your love and mercy. Thank You for seeing the good in us even when we are acting rebellious and malicious. We get so caught up in things that if we would step back and slow down then we would see that most things aren’t as important as we make them. We tend to stress ourselves out much more and lash out at the people we love and are around when we shouldn’t. Lord, it seems like we do this to You as well. We get frustrated and stressed out when things don’t work out the way we would like them to and we either blame You, lash out at You or give up on You. But, even though we don’t deserve it, You still don’t lash out or give up on us. Lord, our country has done the same thing. We’ve been rebellious and malicious.We’ve taken things so far down the wrong paths and keep trying to fix it with little patches here and there that it has just made things a lot worse. It would be so easy to give up on us and watch us fall, but Lord, that’s not Your character and we thank You for that. Help us realize this and stop rebelling and making small patches and come to You for the ultimate patch and that’s the renewing of our minds. Give our country the desire to seek You again. We need Your counsel, and to be honest, it would make things go a lot smoother around here. It would take a lot of frustration and stress off of us. Help us realize that Your path is the straight path and if we take it, it might not be the easiest, but it would be the best. The Israelites made a 10 day trip into a 40 year journey to get the same results. Help us not make this trip back to You into a journey. Help us take the straight path. Let this election be the beginning of a new perceptoin in America. A perception that we do need You in our lives, in our homes, in our communities, our cities, our states and in our country. We need You now more than ever. Help us step back and slow down and see this truth!! In Jesus name,
